Five of our favourite words? Baker Bleu hot cross buns. The bun-loving KDPO office was bouncing to be engaged by the cult bakery to help amplify the launch of their brand-new hot cross buns over Easter.
The best part was coordinating product send outs of the buns to KOLs and food media across Melbourne and Sydney. We felt like the best sort of Easter bunnies, being enthusiastically greeted wherever we went!. Apart from spreading joy, the send outs generated great social coverage from the likes of foodies Pat Nourse, Julia Busuttil-Nishimura and Jessica Nguyen. And perhaps you saw the Sydney Morning Herald’s appraisal of the cinnamon-spiced, raisin hot cross buns, with entire oranges pulverised and mixed within the dough? “Heaven when toasted, buttered, and sprinkled with sea salt.”
The buns featured in all significant ‘Best HXB’ round ups in Sydney and Melbourne media; highlights included mentions in Broadsheet, Delicious, Urban List, a print inclusion in Gourmet Traveller and a mention in Broadsheet’s Around Town podcast.
That wasn’t all. KDPO also assisted with sharing the news of Baker Bleu’s new store opening in Cremorne later this year. Key Melbourne media coverage of that piece of good news included Broadsheet, the Herald Sun, Domain Review, Concrete Playground, Hospitality Magazine and Urban List. As for us – we can’t wait.
